Oh yeah, I also have Celiac disease.

I kind of forgot to mention that in my initial entry. Of course, since I started a new blog for this, it might be kind of obvious from the title. Basically, Celiac disease is an extreme gluten allergy. Gluten is in wheat, rye, and barley. Basically, if I eat any of that, or anything that has been contaminated by any of that, I get very very sick and make myself more likely to get gastrointestinal cancer. If you want a less brief and more technical summary, go here. This means that I can't just make a sandwich to take to work for lunch, or eat any kind of soup in the soup aisle (yeah, they all have wheat). In my experience, gluten-free food isn't very portable, and is more expensive.

What I ate today:

Breakfast:
spinach salad with deli ham and lemon juice
half of the banana from last night that I didn't eat

Snacks before and after lunch:
about 25-30 almonds (my doctor told me to eat these to bring up my cholesterol)
15-20 raspberries

Lunch:
3 bratwursts with mustard

Dinner:
rice fried with eggs and yellow and green cucumbery things from the CSA (share of a local farm)

I should have had the lemon juice last night with the salad (I think that I had some bacon bits on there too), it was way better, and I'm sure not as bad for me.

Exercise:
It only took about 15 minutes to mow the back yard, and it wasn't nearly as bad as the front used to be (the front yard is very thick). So, I walked about two miles at a good pace to get in some more exercise. I would be doing push ups too, but I tweaked my shoulder and don't want to be putting any weight on it right now.
