My wife came up to me last night after I finished posting and informed me that she had to throw out the milk because it had gone bad...whoops.
I decided to re-try grapefruit, as I hadn't had any in probably 10 years, so I had half of a grapefruit last night. The actual fruit tastes alright, but boy-oh-boy is that aftertaste awful. My wife claimed that grapefruit was something that one should eat in the morning (I guess because you haven't tasted anything else yet during the day, so your mouth can't yet tell that it is awful), so I tried the other half this morning. It wasn't quite as bad, and maybe I could have one in the morning occasionally. It wasn't very filling though.
Food:
Breakfast:
Half of a grapefruit
Some Santitas chips with salsa (I wanted some last night, but wasn't that hungry, so I had the grapefruit instead)
Part of a good calico bean mix that my mother-in-law made specifically for me, I saved the rest for lunch tomorrow, very tasty
Lunch:
I went to a Thai place and got their Pad Thai (something that I know I am safe eating), it also comes with rice, a cup of spicy, made from scratch soup that I really enjoy, and a small side salad
Snack:
Half a banana in the morning, hopefully the other half will manage until I get hungry at work tomorrow
Dinner:
Chili with tofu and hamburger
Later I had the leftovers and a nectarine. I have been trying to eat less to make sure that I don't overeat, and one of the consequences is that I don't always eat enough.
My wife made some cookies today to tempt me away from the righteous path, but thus far, I remain strong. Also, half of the plate of fudge at work is now gone, no thanks to me.
Exercise:
I walked at a decent pace for about a mile or mile and a half.
