True Blood

True Blood on HBO is a pretty solid show (though it is definitely rated R for violence, gore, nudity, and sexual situations (What else would you expect from HBO?)). The basic premise is that vampires are real, and the Japanese have invented this synthetic blood that they can drink instead of draining humans. This has allowed the vampires to come out of the closet and live among humans.

Additionally, my wife and I like to read books out loud to each other. We have read the entire George RR Martin series "A Song of Ice and Fire" out loud (well, the published four books). That is around 3200 pages of out loud reading just on that series alone (wow, that really sounds kinda crazy/amazing on paper (so to speak)).

So when I found out that True Blood was (very strongly) based on a series of books written by Charlaine Harris, I decided that they might be fun to read out loud. We have just started reading it, but I am enjoying reading in a southern accent. Hopefully I can become so proficient at it that I can call on it at will. You never know when there will be a Shakespearean play that requires a southern gentleman, or redneck.

Food:
Breakfast:
The remainder of the Eggs with Scone
Bacon
A Banana

Lunch:
Lasagna (the previously frozen stuff with too much cheese)

Snack:
Vanilla Yogurt with Almonds (my two pound bag of almonds is almost empty now)

Snack:
Hot Chocolate (it seems a little sweet, I may try half of a packet next time)

Dinner:
Crock Pot Pizza (GF noodles with pizza toppings baked in a crock pot, my wife used less than half of the cheese in the recipe for me). I might have to mix in some pineapple with the leftovers.

Exercise:
I mowed the front lawn with the electric mower, and the back with the push. Then we went on a 1.5 mile walk at a slow pace (with a long break in the middle when my wife saw someone she knew).
